Southeast Michigan Urban Area Security Initiative (SEMI UASI)

Welcome to the Southeast Michigan Urban Area Security Initiative (SEMI UASI) Website

The Southeast Michigan UASI Board was established in June 2006, in order to facilitate regional Homeland Security activities in a region set up by the Michigan State Police Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division. The region consists of the City of Detroit and the Counties of Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair, Washtenaw and Wayne.

Our mission is to support and enhance the preparedness of the Southeast Michigan UASI Region, the state and the nation with the implementation of effective Homeland Security programs and strategic initiatives accomplished by providing our emergency responder community, and ultimately our citizens, with the resources and training needed for a safer and more secure community.

To provide responsible leadership, planning and direction in the execution of our grant supported projects through effective management and astute fiscal responsibility at all levels and at all times.
