Welcome to the Southeast Michigan Urban Area Security Initiative (SEMI UASI) Web Site
The Southest Michigan UASI Board was set up in June 2006 in order to faciliate regional Homeland Security activities in a region set up by the Michigan State Police Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division. The region consists of the City of Detroit and the Counties of Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair, Washtenaw, and Wayne.
Our mission is to support and enhance the preparedness of the Southeast Michigan UASI Region, the state, and the nation with the implementation of effective Homeland Security programs and strategic initiatives accomplished by providing our emergency responder community, and ultimately our citizens, with the resources and training needed for a safer and more secure community.
To provide responsible leadership, planning, and direction in the execution of our grant supported projects through effective management and astute fiscal responsibility at all levels and at all times.

Jeff Friedland, St. Clair County, Chair
Marc Breckenridge, Washtenaw County, Vice-Chair
Theodore Quisenberry, Oakland County, Secretary
